Kraftin' Kimmie Cards

Hi Guys! Last night, I was up late, chatting with guess who, and colouring a couple of Kraftin' Kimmie images for some cards I knew I wanted to make.... here's the first -
By now, most of you probably know I dislike using the colour purple... to me, it just doesn't seem to 'work' for me... But, Annmaree sent me a Kaisercraft paper pad (Hippy Girl) that contained a lot of purple.... so, I had to use it! I've coloured up Talulahbelle with Spectrum Noir Markers and cut her out using my nesting circle dies... I the cut out a slightly bigger one in Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I layered up the papers on more eggplant card and stitched around them using the sewing machine. The sentiment has been white embossed and I have added some flowers and bling to finish it off. This card is using the current sketch from The Paper Players.
Now, on to the next card -
This is Goldilocks, and she's been coloured with my Speccies as well... I fussy cut her out, and the moved onto creating the card. I have used patterned paper from Simple Stories Fabulous range and they have been layered on to white card before being mounted on to the card base. Before sticking down the striped card, I added two twill ribbon loops. I then attached the stripey paper and a crocheted doily. I attached some buttons and my image popped up on a bunch of dimensionals.
I am entering this second card into the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge, and also the Addicted to Stamps Bingo challenge - Flowers, Buttons, Blue

Some Odd Girl Digital Stamp - Beach Babe Kaylee

Hi Guys! I'm back with a new card to share. This is one that came together exactly as it was in my head. Don't you love it when that happens? Here it is -
I actually sat on the computer, on facebook while colouring this digi image... I had printed her out, and knew that I wanted to use her in a Polaroid frame... So, didn't worry about colouring much below her bikini top... I then coloured the background using the Copic Colouring Tutorial for clouds that was posted on the Some Odd Girl Blog the other day, I just changed the colours to Spectrum Noir colours... I then cut her out, mounted her on black cardstock, and then white and stamped the sentiment from Hey Kaylee. The main card is Melon Mambo, layered with black card and patterned paper from Kaisercraft's Hippy Girl collection. I then put some black rhinestones in each valley of the scallop circle and added some glossy accents to her glasses.
I am entering this into two challenges, first up is the Sketch from Mojo Monday, I clearly picked the circle option, for something a bit different. I am also entering this into the Addicted to Stamps Challenge, to use Markers.

The Greeting Farm - Birthday Ian

Hi Again! (2nd post for today, scroll down to check out my Feeling Sketchy post!)
I have a masculine card to share with you all today!
I started out with my Birthday Ian and stamped him using Memento Black ink. I then coloured him up using my Spectrum Noir Markers. Once I was happy with him, I set it aside, and focused on making the card. I used a Kraft card base and layered it up with patterned paper from the Echo Park This & That Charming 6x6 paper pad. I have yet to unpack any of my punches from moving, but I do have my dies and Big shot out, so to make the border, I used the My Favourite Things Die-namic Woodgrain Fence and just cut the top section by strategically placing paper only over the tops of the pickets. The sentiment, is made up of My Favorite Things - Die-namics - By the Letters Lowercase and the stamp. I used a piece of Grosgrain Ribbon to tie a bow, and then added a tarnished silver button that has been in my stash a while. I actually remembered to take note of the Spectrum Noir Markers I used -
There's just under a week to go in this months challenge - Have you linked up your project yet?
I am also entering this into the Splendid Stamping Ribbon challenge and the Farm Fresh sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers

Feeling Sketchy DT Post

Good Morning! This morning, I'm sharing a scrap book page for the Feeling Sketchy Blog - Here is the sketch to start with -
F-Sketchy 13
I had the perfect picture of my niece that I wanted to scrapbook-
I used patterned paper by Pink Paislee and a piece of photocopy paper for the 'doily.' I cut out my larger scallop circles using the Big Shot and lightly misted it with Perfect Pearls copper spray and then scrunched it up, and undid it. Once it was dry, I punched holes in each of the scallops, using both sizes of the Cropadile. I layered some strips of ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. I then laid down the photo, and set to work on the title. I used a chipboard title and heat embossed it with Metallic Gold Zing Embossing powder. When it was set, I did some dots of Liquid Pearls on some of the letters and set it aside. Once it was dry, I used my hot glue gun to attach it, then I went through my order from D-Lish Scraps and picked out some beautiful flowers to use, I attached all of them with more hot glue, and before I could call it done, a button jumped out of my stash and had to be attached too....
I love how this layout came together, everything just worked :) Don't you love it when that happens? Why not pop over to the Feeling Sketchy blog and join in the fun?

Kraftin' Kimmie - Tallulahbelle

Hi Hi! Just a quick post here before I head to bed... I'm almost completely unpacked (woohoo) and had some time to craft... which resulted in a card you'll see tomorrow, and this card -
I started by colouring Tallulahbelle up using my Spectrum Noir Markers and the cut out her out using my nesting circles. I sat her aside, and picked out this fun paper to use. I layered it up on white cardstock and then onto a Wild Wasabi card base, and popped my fairy image circle on top.... She seemed to disappear a bit, so using the tutorial from Some Odd Girl on colouring clouds I gave it a whirl, using my Spectrum Noirs instead of Copics. For my clouds, I used Ice Greys - IG1, IG2 and for the darkest part IG4, for the sky, I used True Blues - TB1 and TB2. I then layered up the main image circle on to a slightly larger circle and tried it on the patterned paper again. She no longer looked lost! (WOOHOO!) I love this as an easy, cleaner alternative to sponging sky, and will no doubt use it again! I then decided she needed some bling, so I cut out a circle using some glitter paper, and also a butterfly. I then stamped the sentiment from Tallulahbelle, but omitted the "I", then layered it up onto the larger, glitter circle...I then finished off the card with some silver rhinestones in the top right and bottom left corners :)
Here are the colours I used to colour the Fairy -

I am entering this into three challenges, the first is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge, and secondly the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge 134 (I was lucky enough to be picked as last weeks winner, woohoo!) And, finally to The Corrosive Challenge, which is Summer Girls
KKStamps Store!

CC Designs Cherrie with Tag

Hi guys! I'm all moved, and slowly getting unpacked, got most things done, just a few more craft boxes need to be unpacked which should happen this afternoon.... Here is the last of the cards I've been saving to show you -
This was a Tickled Pink CC Designs stamp I got given, and the first time I've used her! I stamped her, and coloured her using my Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut her out. The main card base has been stamped with white craft ink using the Woodgrain back ground stamp and layered up with some patterned paper from My Minds Eye. I tied a bow using some Vintage Seam Binding ribbon in Siam Pink (I think) and then attached my image panel. I popped Cherrie up with some dimensionals and added some pretty paper flowers from D-Lish Scraps. I rounded opposing corners, and called this card done.... :)
I used inspiration from the Anyone for Anya? blog with their weekly sketch.
Thanks for dropping by, I'm heading out to do some grocery shopping (bleh)

My Favourite Things - You're So Tweet

Hi guys! Back again this evening, procrastinating packing more (story of my week) and I have a card to share. I received a parcel of goodies from Annmaree today, which included this stamp, so of course, I had to play... come look -
I picked out some patterned paper from Kaisercraft- Bright and Sunny for this, and layered it onto some white card before sewing around all of the layers with my sewing machine on zig zag. I then sat and coloured the You're So Tweet stamp up and cut around her. I attached it to the layered patterned papers and then tied a bow using Dresden Blue Seam Binding Ribbon stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock and cut it out in a flag shape.
I am entering this into the MFT sketch challenge over on the Splitcoast Stampers forum, but thought I'd share it here too :)
Thanks for popping by :)

Kraftin' Kimmie Goldilocks

Hello again! I'm here to share another card I made over the weekend (it was a very productive weekend card wise) Here it is -
I received an order from Lime Tart last Friday, and it in was my first ever Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! So, while  I was supposed to be packing, I sat and coloured this chicky in... This is Goldilocks, and I thought I'd struggle a bit with her masses of hair... but surprisingly, I found her very simple to colour! I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to colour her, and used lots of the same colour groups to get a lot of shading... I the cut her out until I'd decided what to do with her... Luckily, Annmaree pointed me in the direction of the Kraftin' Kimmie blog/challenge, so I built my card. I used a Crumbcake base, stamped with En Francais in the same colour, and sponged the edges. I used some scrap patterned paper (from My Minds Eye) and some beautiful white satin ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and tied a bow. The main image panel is a new to me spellbinders nestie Labels 2 which I sponged with a bunch more Crumbcake Ink. The sentiment is from the Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set Goldilocks and it's a sentiment I will use a lot, I can tell.... :)
I am entering this in the Kraftin' Kimmie sketch challenge and also into the Stampalot Challenge which is Tic Tac Toe, and I have used the third row, down, Pink, Brown and Bling :)

Cuddle Anya from The Greeting Farm

Hi Guys. I've scheduled a bunch of posts up until the weekend, which have been cards I've made over the last few days, just so you guys aren't wondering where I've gotten to.... Here is the first one I wanted to share with you -
I did this card a little backwards to what I would usually do, I started by going through my scrap paper drawer and picking out papers that matched each other, the wood panelling is from My Minds Eye, as is the houndstooth pink paper. The third patterned paper is from Simple Stories. I mounted them all on white cardstock and then onto each other and then finally onto some Rose Red card stock. I tied a big Grosgrain bow around the houndstooth paper before mounting it. Then, I coloured up Cuddle Anya using my Spectrum Noir Markers and then mounted the image panel on top with dimensionals. The sentiment is a really cute one from Kraftin' Kimmie (which you'll be seeing again soon!)
I used the sketch from Splitcoast Stampers TGF Saturday Sketch Challenge (below) I was really inspired by this sketch as soon as I saw it! Doesn't help that I was their winner from last week! :D

Pop back in the next few days to see more cards!

Feeling Sketchy Week 12

Hi guys, back today to share my DT card for Feeling Sketchy! I actually made this card last week...
I started off with the background paper, which I knew I wanted to use, and coloured up my Glimmer Bean stamp from The Greeting Farm with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I then layered it all up using Certainly Celery card stock, patterned paper from Grace Taylor (I believe) and two kinds of ribbon. I added a lil bit of bling and called it done :)
Sorry this is such a short post, I feel like I've got the flu, so I'm not feeling 100%. Make sure you head over to the challenge blog, and play along with this weeks challenge -

My Favourite Things - Birthday Princess

Hi Guys! I'm currently in the process of packing up the house for moving next weekend (!) So, it might be quiet over here on the blog in the coming week.... Here's a card I made today -
I used the MFT Birthday Princess stamp and paper pieced her dress using the Sale-a-bration paper from Stampin' Up! I coloured her skin, hair, cake and hat using my Spectrum Noir Markers and cut her out. My card base is white, layered up with Peach Parfait, and some patterned paper from Echo Park, which I sewed around. The main image panel is pretty self explanatory, with the scallop circles actually cut out using my circle dies and cutting them in half (I don't have a big scallop punch/die like this) and I added some rhinestones in the valleys. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! Sincere Salutations.
I used the MFTSC76 Sketch for this card, as well as inspiration from the Annabelle Stamps Paper Piecing challenge.

Some Odd Girl - Sweet Thinkin' Mae

Hi Guys! Back today to share my most recent DT post for The Stamp Spot
I used Sweet Thinkin' Mae and coloured her up using my Spectrum Noir Markers
I then set to making my card. I used patterned paper from the Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane 6x6 paper pad, as well as Dot Textured Yellow Cardstock and Grosgrain Ribbon in Aqua for the little ribbon loops a button from my stash and two tiny little tags all tied up with some Twine. I layered it all on some Aquamarine cardstock and called it done :)

If you have any questions about the Spectrum Noir Markers, leave a comment, and I will try to answer. I should also take note of what colours I have used.... lol
This card fits in with the 'Spots Challenge' for this month a The Stamp Spot and also for the Some Odd Girl colour challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp Summer Inspiration challenge

The Greeting Farm Wild Sprout Daisy.

Hi Again! I'm procrastinating packing up the house, so I thought I'd post a card I made last night :)
Ok, so I finally bit the bullet, and purchased copic friendly cardstock for my Spectrum Noirs.... and let me tell you... It does make a difference! I had no bleeding on this image, and the colour seemed to blend a bit better (or maybe I'm imagining that part) Anyway, I stamped my WS Daisy on the card and coloured her up. I then fussy cut her out, because silly me didn't leave enough room around her to cut with a nestie :P I then gathered my supplies. I wanted papers that were summery, and matched her clothing. The blue patterned paper is Echo Park (I think) and the yellow spots is one that Annmaree gifted me, so I'm not sure of the brand. I layered them up, and got my sewing machine working, to stitch around the yellow and to attach it to the Crumbcake base. I then stamped the sentiment onto my Leather Tan Seam Binding and stuck it down. I cut my oval out using the Spellbinders Ovals Large, and attached Daisy using a whole bunch of dimensionals... The sentiment is actually from Hey Kaylee, Some Odd Girl, but it fit on the ribbon, and was a nice neutral sentiment :)
I am entering this into three challenges (!) The first is the Farm Fresh Saturday Sketch from Splitcoast Stampers, next up are two summer inspired challenges (as I freeze here), one from Splendid Stamping, Retro -Fresh and secondly from Simon Says Stamp

MFT A la Mode Birthday Girl

Hi Again! I'm trying to keep my blog active these past few days, as it seems to be a bit quiet in blog-ville at the moment, perhaps due to summer in the northern hemisphere? I crafter last night, and was really happy with the out come. Here it is -
I started by colouring this image, from My Favourite Things, using my Spectrum Noir markers, I thought she'd be tough to colour with her skinny arms and legs, but she came out well. I then layered her on some Pretty in Pink card and onto some patterned paper which I think might be Pink Paislee Snow Day. I made up some Mini Rolled Roses using some felt and made some leaves using this die. I also die cut some mini pennants in matching colours. The sentiment has been stamped using Staz On directly on to the Dresden Blue Seam Binding Ribbon and the mini pennants have been strung up using some Ivory Twine
I am entering this into the Ribbon Carousel Sketch challenge
Thanks for popping by!

Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny

Hi! I've had a craft filled weekend, but a lot of stuff I'm unable to show you yet, due to them being for DT spots.... so keep an eye out over the next few weeks :) This one was a just for fun card, using some brand new stamps I picked up on Saturday. I went into Spotlight to get foam adhesive and glitter, I walked out with a bunch more stuff... Including this stamp set
I started out stamping the bird house on white card stock and colouring it up up with (you guessed it) my Spectrum Noir markers. I then die cut it out and a scallop circle slightly bigger in Chocolate Chip, and set it aside. I gathered my papers, in this case, paper from Cosmo Cricket Baby Jane and Echo Park This & That Charming and layered them up on to more Chocolate Chip card stock. I stamped the Stampin' Up! Woodgrain background stamp on Crumbcake card stock, using craft white ink, and gave it a while to dry. While it was drying, I dragged out my sewing machine, and stitched around the patterned paper panels and also the Crumbcake panel. I then added some folded ribbon accents using this gorgeous Twill Ribbon and then a bit of Twine (from the Ribbon Carousel) and a button to finish it off :)
I am entering this into the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge, I wasn't sure at first, whether I'd be able to create something I liked for this, but in the end, I love my card. I am also entering this into the Corrosive Challenge which is to use two or more punches/dies. I used a corner rounder punch, and of course the circle and scallop circles :)

Feeling Sketchy and Some Odd Girl

Hi guys! I'm late posting my DT card for Feeling Sketchy today, because I overslept... But, it's here....
I started off with my Hey Kaylee stamp set which I stamped and coloured using my Spectrum Noir Markers, I used this tutorial on youtube to get my shading just how I wanted.
It has made me look at my markers in a whole new light! If you're a recent convert to Spectrums and want them to blend more easily, this is the tutorial for you! :) Anyway, back to the card..... I fussy cut her out and then popped her on dimensionals onto a Spellbinders Label 4 die cut. Next up was building my card. I used patterned paper from My Minds Eye and my sewing machine to attach them together. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!'s Kindness Matters stamp set, and I have stamped it using Craft White Ink to make it pop on the Kraft cardstock. I layered the patterned papers on to the Kraft card base and added some bling to finish it off.
This is the feeling sketchy week 11 sketch -
Pop on over and have a play :)

The Greeting Farm - New Baby Card

Hi Hi! Two posts in one day! Are you shocked? Scroll down to see my Stamp Spot Design Team post, alternatively, click here.... Anyway, I made this card the other night while crafting with my bestie Annmaree, just so you all know, she and I live 6hrs away from each other, but every week, we get online together, at the same time and craft and chat... granted, most nights we only make one or two cards but, it is a highlight of my week....
Ok, so I started with this adorable pregnant lady from The Greeting Farm, Mom and Dad set it was the first TGF image I bought... I coloured her in using my Spectrum Noir Markers and fussy cut her out... I then tried to find papers to match.... If you guys know me, you know Purple isn't my colour, at all! I went through my stash of scraps, and came across this purple paper from My Minds Eye and some blue from KaiserCraft. I stuck them together, did some faux stitching and then looped my ribbon around it and tied a bow... The sentiment is from My Minds Eye, and I think it makes a great sentiment for someone expecting :) I layered the whole shebang on to Kraft card stock and called it done :)
I am entering this into three challenges, the Anyone for Anya? challenge is stitching, the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is to use something 'old' I used papers from my offcuts as well as my first owned TGF image, and last but not least is the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #149

Spectrum Noir Markers in Monochrome and Sarah Kay Stamps

I stamped my Sarah Kay Picnic of Daisies in Memento Black Ink  and coloured her up using all 6 of the colours from the Cool Greys Marker Pack. The great thing I found with these markers is you can start with either the lightest or darkest colour and are able to blend them together by going back over them with the lightest marker (I don't know if that made any sense... hehe) I fussy cut her out at then attached her to a vanilla Spellbinders Label 10 which I had pierced around the edges using a needle. I then set to making my card, I started with a Grey card base and layered it up with some divine patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket, Baby Jane paper pad. I stitched all around the edges, added a strip of silver/grey grosgrain ribbon, then with my hot glue gun, attached three paper flowers and a yellow button. I finished off this card without a sentiment, but added three little mint green rhinestones to balance it all out :)
This card fits the requirements of this months challenge, yellow, grosgrain ribbon and buttons -
